Sounds about right. The historic district is lovely, although I think some of the prices quoted may have been too high. Depends a lot on water access, though. That will multiply price a lot, depending on depth and whether there is an easily navigable channel onto the Bay, for example.

Someone built a supposedly Manhattan- style hotel in the middle of town, to capitalize on Easton's cachet. We went to check it out, oh, maybe ten years ago or so. It looked nice, but did not have newsstand or a concierge desk, and looked to be understaffed with bellmen. We ate in the restaurant, and although the prices were pretty good, the dinner and service were not good enough for how fancy they were trying to be. We found out that room service stopped at 10 pm, when people at a pricey hotel count on midnight, and there was no valet service. I mention this to indicate that there is a limit to how much people will pay for around there, and therefore to how much the place can put on airs.........
