There is a world of the unseen. As we have recently discussed there is no more physical evidence for angels than for fairies. However, there is some practical evidence for the unseen that can serve as evidence and support for further consideration...libraries full in fact. You have to have your eyes open and an open mind to see it.

We know that each of us has something we call ‘intention’ that lies behind conduct. We cannot see it or know it except as we experience it internally through thought. This is provides further evidence that others operate via unseen intent. Even thought about our own intentions can be wrought with confusing conflict. Some people become so conflicted that even years of using their brains accompanied with psycho-analysis cannot unravel the mysteries of personal intent and motivation that guides their daily conduct. Some times this type of individual behaves in a conflicting manner. They may profess verbally a belief in one type of conduct while acting in a contradictory manner when put to a test. We associate intent with the character and persona of an individual.

Generally we have come to see that the personality of individuals is fairly static barring some dramatic ‘life changing’ event. Even then the person generally experiences life through the same persona with perhaps an added filter. However, we don’t see intent, motivation etcetera, we only see evidence of it. It is not, relevant to natural laws of the physical universe but plays a major role in the success or failure of individuals regarding their membership in humanity.

We must ask the question, “So what?” So what, if someone has corrupt intentions in material pursuits, harms others in his endeavors, and is successful in acquiring huge wealth, without getting charged with crimes along the way? His family and associates benefit from his material wealth. Even the culture may benefit materially from his productivity. History provides many accountings of this type of scenario. History also portrays the misery that this type of scenario generally involves. For example: spoiled children who turn on their father, business associates or allies who betray the man, etcetera, all focused on the original object of desire that defines the scenario.

The next question we must ask is, “Why Not?” People clearly ‘get away’ with lying and corruption all the time. If there is no more purpose in life than acquiring wealth to take care of self, family and close associates then we have no reason not to behave this way. If there is ‘higher purpose’ then we do.
