They just get in the way of a good story.

That is what worries me. I like a good story as well as the next chap, but I'd like to have some idea that it is a story.

Without some effort, I don't think I can tell when lies, damn lies, & statistics are being used to weave a tale designed to lull me to sleep, or frighten me into action.

It would be nice if we could use small numbers, like say between 1 and 100, rather than trillion and billion.
