AMD's architecture allows for adding a 3rd or 4th memory channel to a future AthlonFX version and there wouldn't be any issues of FSB speed, overload, or chipsets to change. Intel has to pump everything through the one connection between chipset and motherboard.

Increasingly, it does seem that AMD's new product intro's are now on cruise control compared to INTC's which seem to keep stalling out at 3.2 GHz!
