Nice article. Something for everyone.

No, anti-Islamic BS. Something for everyone who believes the Islamic world neither wants nor deserves freedom and democracy, or who thinks it easier to stick with the failed policies of the past, which denied freedom to Muslims on the grounds of political expediency.

He likely would have said the same thing about Japan 50 years ago, as many did at the time. Germany, too, I'd bet.

It is precisely Bush's point that radical Islam can only be defeated by a free and democratic Muslim world, that peace and prosperity depend on liberty. Our war in Iraq can't eliminate terrorism, but it can prepare the soil for Iraq to grow free, democratic and prosperous, and for the weed of radical Islam to wither away as other Islamic populations see the green grass and demand the same.
