I think Clinton is just biding her time to come in and save the party. Gore hasn't a prayer. Kerry is in disarray and is perceived as talking out of both sides of his mouth. Dean is too out there. Clark was the Clinton choice to pave the way for Hillary to save the party. Just some random thoughts. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
