Chris,

Re: Just to go along with the JOBLESS RECOVERY...whatever the HELL that means:

The 7.2% gain in GDP can be explained by several components.

1. Increased military spending
2. Increased expense for imported oil
3. Inflated figures from the BEA that will be revised downward.
4. One time tax transfers to taxpayers in phony "tax rebates".
5. Residential construction activity.

Of these, the only gain that is "real" as far as the economy is concerned is the construction figure. And with mortgage interest rates going up, this sector will not be sustainable.

We just witnessed a statistical mirage.

Get ready for gold. BGO may or may not be the place, due to Russia's problems, but that's where I've been since $1.80, and it's got some interesting price action.

Sad, that we have to preserve our capital from the Bush-bashed economy, instead of finding good US companies with growth prospects.

Of course we could do as Bush is doing, put money in mortuaries and cemeteries, the new global growth businesses under this regime.

Someone should do a comparison of which businesses are thriving under Bush vs Clinton. No doubt the prime representatives are various forms of poison, extortion, fraud and violence, i.e. tobacco, oil energy and voting machines, drugs, offshore accounting thievery, and weapons.

Just imagine if that list alone were taken out of the hands of the insider-criminals, what this country, and this economy would be like. There would be trillions more in GDP, and vastly greater employment.
