Immorality is different for everyone- so unless we have a law that is different for everyone, there will of COURSE be a dichotomy between what is moral and what is legal- if dichotomy means a branching out from, or division from. The two things in no way dovetail. There is a base where some morality is turned in to law- but it is a low bar, as it should be- leaving us the freedom to be much more moral than the law requires us to be (that "much more moral" thing being different for each one of us).
