We are nearly back to 10,000. Hang Seng and Nikkei are already back above the 10,000 black hole event horizon. Dow within a whisker or two.

Maybe only 2 years to Dow 16,000. The response to interest rates up by 4% will give us an idea of how long 16,000 will take.

Hello Dear Departed ACF, out there in cyberspace somewhere. Dow 16,000 is still nowhere in sight with the huge housing loans pressing woefully on both creditors and debtors.

At this rate, it's going to be 2012 [ten years late] that the Dow finally makes it after being due in February 2002.
