I don't understand why you apologize for Bush's abysmal economic performance.

Can't you see that after losing almost 3 million jobs, many of which were high paying "white collar" jobs, replaced by McJobs, holding a steady state in job growth in a 7.2% GDP climate is Horrible???

What is going to happen when we settle down to a more reasonable 3% GDP or Greenie raises rates? More middle class job loss, thats what, on our way to the banana republic economy we all fear.

As far as the downsizing in the 80s, a major difference here- companies aren't really downsizing this time around. They are only downsizing in the US. Major difference there.
