I just bought a new Gateway a month ago and my wife wanted to give our old box to a neighbor. Right, with Gater remembering our credit card numbers. That hard drive will be wiped across a strong magnet and dropped into 35' of water.

Holy Cow, wouldn't a DOS command of FORMAT C:/ erase all contents on that drive with no ability to detect, even were a forensic expert to try, or is that just myth? That's what I was suggesting when I heard the term reformat.
