When did that happen?
The only spending cuts I can recall were driven by Gingrich and the republicans.

Evidently not.

I agree with you on one thing, Republicans are spending too much money, and it is because all of them, both parties, are ADDICTED to spending, just taking more and more out of our wallets. Because we let them.

But please understand, it was the Republican Congress and their Contract With America, that brought fiscal responsibility to DC for such a very short time. Clinton, who did all his governing by the polls, signed onto just about everything because the American people wanted it.

And you further show a lack of understanding when you say the Republican's "squandered" the so-called surplus.

Did you by chance hear of an event we now call 9-11?
A whole new government agency and all the costs that go with that had to be created.

And the government bailed out the airlines.

So please, how many times does a post such as yours have to be answered?
