Republican women usually follow the men like your namesake. There are also some church lady types. If they took the trouble to study the policies they'd find the GOP dumps most programs which help women and children. Consider that in Europe a woman is safe for life in case she has a child out of wedlock. She has daycare, health care, gynecological care, etc. The modern day GOP thinks that funding those kinds of programs is bad government spending, but they jump at the chance to throw 11 billion into a useless SDI system or spend 300 billion on a crazy war with Iraq. That money cuold have been used to create safety nets for every woman and child in America. But no, that's sissy stuff to the GOP.
