Thanks for that point - If they (Fido, etc.) own Newmont, I would bet they have many of the other companies in XAU.

T. Rowe Price made a big part of their reputation during the commodities & natural resource boom of the 1970s - early 1980s.

I don't know if they (T. Rowe Price) have retained that expertise....;-)

Might be a way to play the commodities boom by ownig financial entities which are gatekeepers for investment.
