I also believe in cooperation. bin Ladin directly challenged US. Iraq did it via creating instability in ME including open support for terrorism. After 911 we no longer can tolerate terrorism nor it's supporters. We can not go after all of them at the same time but if "reach out and touch" few of them the rest might get the message. Any group of people (country) may choose to live any way they want just as long as they are not bothering others. re: in 1939 & the US had to be bombed in Pearl Harbor in 1941 is not it sad that all that could have been avoided only if league of nations would enforce it's treaties.
