Because you are getting your info from the press and the pampered left rather than independent individuals. Folks who want the government to solve every problem in their life do not like the Republican stand that everyone has to be responsible for themselves. Those who are willing to take care of themselves...those who have never had a real taste of freedom are begging for a chance to just get here. For a few eye-poppers travel to the central highlands of Vietnam where the entire Montagnard tribesmen population is trying to get to America. Ditto for the Mnongs in Laos. Mexicans and others from Central America struggle for a chance to beat feet to the USA. Visit the Sudan, Somalia, Liberia and see just how many oppressed folks there want to come to America. Go to Bosnia and you will find a huge population that would love to come here. They are not struggling to come here because of social security or free drugs under medicare. They strive to come here for the simple opportunity to be self-sufficient. These and issues around other programs are the Democrats way to try prove to some Americans that they too are oppressed and therefore need the fat demo pols. Many Brits and Canadians and Germans and French have been similarly brain-washed. Blame it on Trini Lopez and his song "Everything is Free in America." Kumar, those who want to rely on the government for every aspect of their life are the demonstrators. They will be in the street. Those who are willing to be independent , self-sufficient, and rely on their own wits and efforts to care for themselves will not attend. The press won't tell their story because they are hard to find at work. And because their story doesn't fit into the left wing press' bigger agenda. I think most of the demonstrators are afraid. Afraid to lose and afraid to fight. By gathering in large packs they feel safety in numbers. The war against terrorism has a long long way to go. In many ways it has yet to begin. We do have a good start, but so far we have won nothing. If all Americans, cajoled continuously by the press and politicians, join the ranks of the demonstrators and lose the will to fight, America is doomed. I do expect some to express their fear openly and publicly. That does not bother me. When they refuse to support our Armed Forces and the need to fight terrorism, as Senators Kerry and Kennedy did a few days ago on the senate floor, I worry a bit. But fortunately they are in a small minority. Kumar, tyrants and their supporters hate us. Those who want to be dependent on a government hate us. Those who yearn for true freedom and opportunity love us. unclewest
