ld, I think there should be more up, but yes it is getting long in the tooth. If it continues up here some really nice gains should be had ... the carrot and the stick.

Keep on eye on these imo, there is info to glean.

Some would say it is prudent to be out now, especially gold. Silver is lagging it appears. Silver has to break the 5.50 area fairly soon, or it will probably turn very negative.

A person in my shoes can afford a little risk imo, since I have been in so long. I just may give up a little gains. But for someone who has not, the risk/reward might not necessarily be the best, that is for sure.

Another thing is that the HUI has positively correlated with the general markets very well this run. It makes a person really wonder what happens if the latter turn down hard here.

ld, the thing I am struggling with re the HUI is how to count the correction that started the 25th of Sept. In my last published count I had it (the correction) over around the 5th of Oct.

I am leaning towards a change, and that it ended Tuesday, and that the whole thing was a rising ABC. Yesterday then was the initial move, and an extremely powerful one, off this 4 correction.

This is actually quite bullish, says the last primary wave for this run is in progress, and will last nearly a couple of months.

The other interpretation I have is not very bullish at all, doesn't count correctly due to violations, but would say we are in the last little wave now, a v of 5.

EWI would say the bearish one is correct, but it appears EWI's prognosis for the dollar went into the crapper, last night. So EWI may have to quit being stubborn and change their gold counts, imo.

In edit: It would appear to me that my dollar count is correct, along with Petch's, but I agree with Petch that the dollar is more than likely not going to go nearly as deep as some folks think. I'm leaning towards 80 for this whole wave now. HUI should top out approximately coincident with dollar bottom, or before, again imo.

Off to pump oil.
