Even the "Jungle State", Iowa, now gives the Republicans an edge...

"Are you maintaining that there is a large number of people who are getting attacked in alleys, shoot it out, and then don't mention the attempted crime to any law enforcement?"

No, but your question implies that you are an idiot without much skill at putting an argument (or even an intelligent thought) together.

I do know that I can protect myself and my family better with a gun than without one. And I think that there are many others who feel the same way. That you want to take my right of self protection away just shows that like most dem pols, you want to run other peoples lives. Very arrogant imo.

A safe unloaded gun, or even a dummy firearm goes a very LONG way to self protection. Just the act of brandishing almost always results in attackers backing down. If you don't feel comfortable with a loaded gun, use an unloaded one. You won't be able to kill an attacker if you need to, but facts indicate that most of the time you don't need to.

Thats exactly right. An attempted crime that is prevented by a firearm is not usually reportable...after all NO crime is committed. A crime was prevented! When a crime is not committed there is NOTHING to report is there?
