Have to admit Realtor.com search functions have never been particularly user friendly. You enter in a limitation in one window, then get more choices in another window and find out your first choice is now ignored.

At any rate, I'm not out to prove anything about New York. I'm trying to understand the problem Mike cites and what possible way it could be solved if there is one.

Seems to me if New York agents still want to keep their listings in their pockets, they're not going to change their ways anytime soon. It's an odd system to work with, but if it works for them and their clients.....

Doesn't seem to be holding down prices much. Geez, just think how much properties in New York would cost if it were done the "right way".
