Of course the Israelis would say what they say in that link. Why admit you expelled anyone... So the Israeli site is to biased to use a s source but palestinemonitor.org is just fine? I didn't say that........all I am pointing out is that there is another side to the story. And Israel does not always deal in the facts. How can it ever lose another war armed to the teeth thanks to our largesse? It could be blanked by Arab or Iranian nukes I wasn't aware that either the Arabs or the Iranians had nukes. or the largesse might not last forever (You are arguing we should end it now, or at least soon, are you not?) Yes, of course......even if we ended it now, its very unlikely the Arabs could catch up. Iraq has a tech. infrastructure lead that puts them light years ahead of the Muslims. Or the Arabs could get their act together militarily and actually fight skillfully and with good large scale coordination. The last seems unlikely given their modern military record but it is possible. Very unlikely. Our continued intervention and support of Israel is slowing the process which would permit peace to develop in the region. Israel isn't the main enemy of peace in the area. When its neighbors have been truly willing to have peace they have had peace. Israel has been willing to give up land for peace even though it doesn't have a lot of land. The Arabs have mostly wanted to wipe out Israel from day 1. There has been peace only because the Arabs have chosen not to confront Israel. Israel is holding a land and its peoples illegally. Israel is one of the main obstructions to peace. She refuses to cooperate........and the reason is because she knows we are standing behind her. Take us out of the picture and Israel would be a lot more cooperative with her neighbors. "Just counting the reconstruction we will spend more in Iraq." This is a joke that should not figure into this discussion. No joke. Its a horrible, twisted joke! We do the Iraqis a big favor and remove their dictatorial leader, and now we have to rebuild their country for them gratis. Its the biggest, saddest joke I've ever heard. ted
