Iraq is not the war against terrorism, and that's where all the money is going. The only terrorists there are the ones who have been streaming in since he occupied the place. I guess that counts but it was a damned stupid policy to set ourselves up like that and we have no idea who to shoot at. I've been listening to Al Haig, ex Colonels and Generals. Nobody has a clue what to do about the situation now. It's what they call a major clusterf**k in the military. Real counter-terrorism is an covert surgical intelligence and police effort. It has nothing to do with armies and occupying a country. Even Bush supporter Al Haig admitted it reminded him of Vietnam now. No wonder Bushies are trying to get the hell out of there while Bush is declaring we will never back down. BS'ing us as usual. Or cheerleading. He was a cheerleader in college. Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld turned out to be really wrong-headed guys. Just no excuse for it, no reason. We can't even get any of the oil revenues. What a huge waste. No confidence at all in Bushies anymore. No credibility, no real plan, no clue.

That's about the most naive thing I've ever heard. Did you realize money has been diverted from life sciences research to pay for the huge homeland defense bureaucracy? When one considers how few people have been tragically killed by terrorists throughout history versus the impact of any typical medical advancement and how many many lives are saved, e.g. the eradication of smallpox, antibiotics, vaccines, etc etc etc... One new drug or vaccine could save millions of lives. The priorities of the Bush administration reflect his low intellect and the fact that he's surrounded himself who people that have no positive vision for the future of mankind. The Bush administration makes it clear that the US is an empire in decline. Invest in China and developing Asia as the future lies there.
