Flash on allocation:

Ibanker on IHub relayed this from a Motley Fool post:

From our distributor:

AMD has announced allocation for all Flash products (except Mirror Bit) effective immediately.

You may have noticed in recent weeks that factory backlog has been pushed out, and many confirmed dates have already passed. At this time, there is no certainty that any dates given will be honored. Also, unfortunately, AMD's system has not yet been updated and therefore lead times shown are not accurate.

The hardest hit families are the DL323, LV800 and LV320.

AMD will probably grant allocations on a customer-by-customer basis. These will be allocated primarily on the basis of historical usage.

We are expecting a price increase, probably at year end, on AMD flash products. There is no information about what percentage it will be, but it is my opinion that the lowest densities (1M-16M) will be the most affected.
