Not really. Consider his Scottish background & his perception of how a world superpower might confuse patriotism with nationalism (leaning more toward Empire building). Then consider that Ian Anderson's main source of news is the European media, which makes the, slanted, biased, one sided news we get here in the US seem like credible, factual & the whole unvarnished truth. FWIW, I've read that Ian does spend a good deal of time watching CNN International. I doubt CNN-I is more fair & balanced than CNN. Heck, I can hardly watch CNN anymore since they consistently report the liberal POV, slant, spin & bias that permeates their culture. In any event, I read more of what he said in that interview & I vehemently disagree with Ian's POV. It sounded like CNN's Crossfire with liberals representing all POV's. OOF
