It is out to lunch... He is as much out of line as the other guy is making a case to "list your property with your local real estate agent" or else, you face possible murderous consequences if you attempt to sell your home by yourself. Perhaps this is the reason there are a lot of RE agents who are not trusted, they are full of bs to replace basic knowledge. There is a case to support that it is a good idea to list one's home with a knowledgeable broker, emphasis on knowledge (not to mention professionalism). --That does not mean that selling one's own home cannot be done provided a reasonable effort and due diligence is executed--. But from there, to leap and suggest that you are exposed to murder because you sell your home on your own... therefore, you ought to list your home with a real estate agent... such is pure unadulterated rubbish. And so is your claim for compassion as a result of Elroy's casual off the cuff comment. Indeed, it might have been a disgruntled client (and not necessarily one of Smiley Mike's), who was irked bad enough by another real estate agent's pompous attitude, such as the idea that they "own" a buyer that caused the assassin to go berserk when he saw smiley Mike. As for the lack of knowledge and professionalism amongst many real estate agents.... it is high time to require stringent requirements to license real estate agents instead of handing out licenses to any yahoo who passes a multiple choice question test. It reminds me of giving driver license to complete morons who do not really know how to operate a car in emergency situations, likewise, it boggles my mind that real estate licenses are handed out to millions so easily, who then are entrusted to handle what it is, for many families, their largest investment they will make in their existence. _________________ The honorary degree is a way of honoring a pompous ass.
