Esteban,
I ended up calling AT&T. They told me to go to webmail.att.net and view and delete the messages on the server. I cleaned out the mail and it solved the problem.
As to the Microsoft Critical Update problem, I can get the update again, but it keeps telling me to download it everytime I reboot the computer. The history shows me doing it over and over.
