>>Falling volume is a corrective attribute. If the trend is rising while volume is falling it is not bullish.<<

-I don't agree

What you describe is the result of the psychology associated with 'climbing a wall of worry'

I feel much more comfortable selling into a high volume spike, than selling a low volume up trend...

Falling volume is a corrective attribute. If the trend is rising while volume is falling it is not bullish.

Not true. the answer is "it depends."

Stock charts on Ascending Wedges (a bullish continuation pattern) says
stockcharts.com

Volume: As the pattern develops, volume usually contracts. When the upside breakout occurs, there should be an expansion of volume to confirm the breakout. While volume confirmation is preferred, it is not always necessary.

I've had good success the past 13 months with this one.
