Well TP needs to read Dr. Gary Kleck's studies because he dispels all thouse myths...and Dr. Gary Kleck is one of them too! He is a member of many liberal societies including the ACLU and is also a Dem.

Over the twenty year period 1967-1986, the number of handguns increased 173% (from 27.8 million to 63.9 million), while the fatal gun accident rate decreased by almost two-thirds.[215]
