"silver stepped right out of the shadows, trading at fresh 3-3/4 year highs at 5.40 an ounce on the back of positive sentiment for bullion" - Reuters

Typically, the news media just puts out "boiler plate" for
explanation.

Let's keep our ears to the ground.

Thanks

About those Silver Eagles for year 2004, my favorite coin
shop (where I was buying yr. 2003 gold and silver Eagles for
Christmas presents) had not heard the rumor of the possibility that Silver Eagles
for 2004 may not be produced.

Their comments were that they had already ordered their
supply of the 2004 issue, and the Mint would buy on the
open market if their silver stockpile was depleted.

This was an echo of what you'd already stated on this forum.

Thanks
