So true, and the sellers can keep their houses if they don't want to cater to buyers. Most sellers don't become sellers until they want to sell the place.

Reminds me of the debate over whether the government should worry more about unemployment than it worries about employers. Somebody has to supply the jobs. Enact enough tax rules and other restrictions disadvantageous to employers, and you'll soon have a big stable full of unemployed folks on your hands demanding redress.
