Soros is a Hungarian Jew, whose "world view" seems to be strongly shaped by post WWII/cold war history. He also has a very European perspective, which comes off to me a "guilty capitalist" He seems to want open societies and democracies, but still feel something is so wrong with capitalism that he need to implement social (socialist?) programs via his institute to "pay for his sins" He is a business partner with Bush in the Carlyle Group: rotten.com His bio: rotten.com
