The Scandinavian countries are considered by many to be models of democratic socialism. And one doesn't generally meet a lot of downtrodden abused peasants in those countries. "Every totalitarian bastard likes to call himself "democrat", but not the other way around" I've no idea why you added "but not the other way around." You should have just put a period where the comma is, imo. And don't you mean that totalitarians like to call themselves "democratic," rather than "democrats".
