Eventually, yes, but I would argue that inflation is here now, and has been building in the obvious bubbles as well as health care, government services, etc. But it is neutralized to some extent by cheap imports from Asia, and unseen in statistics which do not include inflation such as in housing or equity markets.

The Fed would must be extremely concerned, wanting I'm sure to arrest it, but unable to raise rates because of its effect on the economy. So they let it go, hope for the best, and somehow "engineer" a gradual tightening, just as they are trying to "engineer" a gradual drop of the relative value of the dollar. But I agree, inflation is in our future. That graph should convince everyone except those who predict a total collapse.
