A productive suggestion to improve the real estate brokerage industry would be prompt anti-trust action taken to make it competitive,
resulting, quite predictably, in lower fees.

Effective enforcement would include actions against:

1.) the National Association of Realtors and their local MLS monopolies;

2.) Those firms which have obtained dominance in regional markets through acquisitions which violated anti-trust law:

a.) Long & Foster;
b.) Cendant/NRT;
c.) Home Services/Berkshire-Hathaway;
d.) Weichert;
e.) Windermere;
f.) Arvida;
g.) GMAC/General Motors.
