I do not put great credence in any one piece of evidence...but the number of pieces of evidence that show operational links between Iraqi Intelligence and al Qaeda, starting with the 1993 WTC attack, is mounting up. Both parties had method, motive and opportunity, so the overall picture is not hard to believe.

Of course, it would be true to point out that Al Qaeda had more support from Saudi Arabia, and more direct support at that. But it doesn't obviate the point that Saddam Hussein was trying hard to get back at the United States surreptitiously. Anybody in that position would naturally find Al Qaeda's success rate interesting...
