Amy,
tell us your position on killing unborn children. Do you disagree with Bush?

Amy,

re: government workers v. contractors

You bring up a very interesting topic. The Bush family doctrine is to reduce government employee's by out sourceing the work to the private sector. Bush did it in Texas, he's doing it on a federal level, and Jeb is doing it here in Florida. Unfortunately, Texas moved to the red under Bush, federal governnment employment is holding but with all the outside contracts costs are going way up, and Florida is in a budget crunch.

On the surface, it sounds great. Reduce government to it's core competencies, and out source the rest of the work to the private sector where they are most efficient, because of competition. It's not working here in Florida, didn't work in Texas, and isn't working on the federal level. The private sector is turning out to be more expensive because it has to turn a handsome profit.
