I think most of the European are intertwined in ownership with ours.

There are huge drug manufacturers in India, I know. Their costs are way lower, I know, because they either produce generics or just ignore US patents.

The better question should be, not are there drug manufacturers, but are there drug R&D programs of comparable size and sophistication?
