London may prove Bush's Waterloo. It would be politically wise for him to stay home. He better hope some US crises provides him cover to cancel the trip. The number of protesters expected to show up are rising by the day. Last week they were talking about maybe 40 to 50k -- now they are talking about well over 100k. That is a lot of people to contain when you've got every imaginable security issue to address. Bush better pray for rain -- as they say. -JH

I'd like to see us turn power over to the Iraqi people ASAP, and then pull our military back to the perimeters, so that the Sunnis or the Shiites would not be able to create a large military force. We will need to maintain a military presence in Iraq for decades to come. I don't have the answers. We must do something to limit American casualties. But, we can't let Iraq turn back into a threatening, anti-American, Muslim dictatorship.
