China..unproven

I guess it is like the gold market then. You will have to wait for the bull market to be confirmed before you invest. You don't own any gold producers do you?

At some point it takes a leap of faith. We all set our own criteria and those are not the same for each investor. If it doesn't meet your criteria at this point in your DD then so be it.

Mac...I encourage you to monitor the following thread in order to achieve a sense of China from many perspectives. It may help in your DD.

One comment I might make is that you are investigating the Shanghai and the Shenzang? I believe. I am more interested in opportunities for Western companies that trade/will trade there and derive sufficient leverage to affect bottom line in a major way. I understand their language, accounting and reportability and most importantly their motivation. The Chinese homegrown co's are dangerous unknowns to me. Personally I'd probably use China funds if I was going straight in with the pure Chinese co's.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Cheers
