you think it was the Indian origin that got him? I don't, I think LA is experiencing the Calfornia effect in 98 when people were pissed off at republicans and dems were mobilized. LA is a mixed race state anyway- cajuns and what have you. The general tone of elections these days is "throw the bums out", so the LT governor had a notch against her just for that, plus they have never had a woman governor. She overcame this and won against Jindal anyway. I think anti-Bush sentiment played a role. Well I guess we'll never know. I like Jindal, hopefully he runs again, he is only 32.
