KL, you don't seem to understand the nature of the war over there. We had more troops than we needed to take Saddam. We have more than we need to pacify the North and South.

We are up against local guerillas in the Sunni area. Who are swimming like fish in the Sunni Sea. For what we can do with troops there, we have more than we need. That problem is only solvable by using locals.

That is an inaccurate perception IMO. I wouldn't be surprised if our troops were rotated in and out of Iraq for years to come. We will certainly set up a base (if not more) and create an indefinite presence.
