Okay, I see now. These are the minutes of Abu Mazen trying to recount his summit meeting with Bush to a perfectly recalcitrant Hamas, whom Bush thinks he shouldn't even deal with, but whom he's trying to sweet-talk into a hudna. I do believe it likely that something got lost, or more likely added, in translation, or that Abu Mazen was using a bit of poetic license. The sentiment is more or less one that Bush clearly expressed, at least in regards to his sense of mission; but I doubt the wording.
