The polls range from Bush in big trouble to Bush with a slight lead. I tend to average them out. Of course I also like to pint out the ones which show Bush in huge trouble, but I know the election is likely to be very close. Most polls show things pretty much split down the middle. That's why the candidate the Dems nominate is all-important. The right one can win, the wrong one will give us four more very costly years of neocon BS.

Hmm. Interesting. Since democrats are the majority party, one would ALWAYS expect any Republican to lag an "unnamed" democrat. "Unnamed" allows respondents to plug in their own favorite democrat.

If ones' own fantacized favorite doesn't lead Bush, it's less likely that any named candidate would do better.
