The issue is not if Bush Sr. had a government position on 9/11 but rather would it have been useful to question the members of OBL after 9/11. I would say his own family members and other rich Saudis would have better leads to him and his finances than say Saddam

> Also prior to that, Osama bin Laden was disawowed by his family, and stripped of his Saudi citizenship.

...and just what is it about Saudis that makes them so trustworthy to make us just take their word that they are clean of it? If we believe them, then why are we continuing to investigate the Saudi connections?

> Since when does being a family member of a crook, make one a crook ?

I did not make that accusation. You are jumping the gun. I am simply saying that when a criminal is on the run, the standard procedure is to ask the family about his where abouts and interview them for useful info. The next standard procedure is to suspect the family, being what families are, will try to help and protect their own. And as such, police often fallow the family around regardless of if they believe the other family members are involved.

> Surely you dont expect the President to tell his father - a civilian - who he should meet/not meet for business reasons in a different part of the country ?

Surely you don't think that whatever money Bush Sr. makes from his business dealings with the Bin Laden's will not eventually affect the net worth of the son? Or that the Jr. will not think twice before spoiling daddy's food?

Do you really see no conflicts of interest here? In legal cases, judges are excused for far less connections.
