LBJ made the same mistake as Bush - getting us into a military quagmire. Huge deficit spending during a war - long term harm to US economy for many years later.

Bush is a lot more similar to LBJ than you want to admit (huge twin deficits, expansion of the size of government, inflation of the monetary supply, couple of relatively open-ended wars going on....)

I'll bet that on most 'social issues' Bush is even more 'Liberal' than LBJ was in his day.

As to the other: I've NEVER been a Democrat.
