What is more surprising is that even though Dumbya screws them, and has avoided military service himself, the armed forces are supposedly more in favor of him than Clinton. Go figure! Under Clinton they were better treated and got pay hikes (the one hike they got during the Bush administration was already in the pipeline and was initiated during Clinton's second term), but under Bush they get treated like dogs, get their salary cut, are made to pay for their own hospital food, plane tickets etc. Maybe the joke about "military intelligence" is not a joke after all!
