Bush's donors are the people that felt left behind in the clinton years, these were oil, commodities and farming. There are no good jobs and growth in 100 year old industries, it is just a question of squeezing out more profit for the benefit of a few guys at the top.

You might say this attitude is anti-capitalist except for the fact that our entire system is consumer driven, and if you cut off Joe Six Packs air supply, as this Bush economy is done, you can only stay afloat for so long.

The first casualty was the "IT PC upgrade cycle". All these companies sent IT offshore and guess what, no more upgrade cycle. Big surprise, maybe Intel should have given that some thought.
