Mr. Charles Desjardins reports
NORTH AMERICAN GEM INC. ANNOUNCES ASSAYS RECEIVED FROM BONAPARTE PROPERTY
North American Gem has provided the following update from the Bonaparte property, located near Kamloops, B.C.
Bonaparte property
The company has received some preliminary assay results from trenching and diamond drilling on the Bonaparte property. Results received and compiled under the supervision of Egil Livgard, PEng, include the following.
The Crow vein system, which has been newly trenched south of the existing pit for approximately 90 metres, had one 10-metre section which assayed 11.59 grams of gold per tonne average (0.34 ounce per ton average) over an average vein width of 1.2 metres (horizontal width). Included in this 10-metre section was a one-metre section grading 43 grams of gold per tonne (1.26 ounces per ton).
Another 12-metre section of vein, assayed 5.68 grams per tonne average (0.166 ounce per ton) over an average width of 1.88 metres (horizontal width).
These results represent samples taken after the initial surface exposure of the Crow vein system. Further assays are expected on the same vein system, with the new samples taken after the top several metres of the vein system were blasted to expose fresh material.
Initial diamond drilling results are currently being processed. Results of the Crow vein drilling program compiled to date include 2.59 metres grading 16.3 grams of gold per tonne (check assay of 18 grams per tonne) (0.475 ounce per ton and 0.525 ounce per ton), with a true width of approximately 2.4 metres in hole Crow-03-05. This intercept was located at a core depth of approximately 33 metres (100 feet). Additional results include 1.68 metres (true width of approximately 1.1 metres) grading 2.56 grams per tonne (check assays were 2.48 grams per tonne and 5.89 grams per tonne) at a core depth of 35 metres in hole Crow-03-02 and 1.22 metres (core length) grading 3.83 grams in hole Crow-03-03. Additional assay results are pending and will be provided as compiled and received by the company.
Processing of these assays was completed through Acme Analytical Laboratories Ltd. of Vancouver, B.C., and Eco Tech Laboratory Ltd. of Kamloops, B.C.
The company is highly encouraged by these results and awaits further assay results from the continuing work program. To date, eight diamond drill holes have been completed on the Crow vein system and the drill has been moved to the Eagle vein system, for a minimum of eight holes. Drilling is also being planned for the Raven vein system.
