I've looked all over for the recipe, and so has my daughter in law...we've found some similar, but not this particular one.
I got the recipe from a friend who is out of the country until after Christmas, and we wanted to make it for Thanksgiving....

Maybe I'll tear into my cookbooks one more time..

In the meantime, I'll buy some of the spiced tea you can get in speciality stores this time of year.
It always smells like what you were describing with your spices...

Mulled Cider
Heat up a cup anytime to make your spirits soar.

Servings: 4

• 2 1/4 cups apple cider or apple juice
• 3/4 cup orange juice
• 3 inches cinnamon sticks, broken
• Dash ground cloves
• Cinnamon sticks for garnish (optional)

In a large saucepan, combine apple cider or juice, orange juice, stick cinnamon and ground cloves. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer, covered for 10 minutes. Remove stick cinnamon.

Ladle into mugs and garnish with cinnamon sticks, if desired.

Can be stored in refrigerator and reheated.
