'There have been various opinions as to the literary character of his work, and, to tell the truth, it is not a whit better than it should be'

Well that is so true, of so many of us -g-

There are few companies of which you can be that confident, eh ... i often think like that sort of, asking myself would i put this away locked up for five years .... lots don't pass that test .... couple of years ago it was somewhat easier, with the bay/mfl/fgx trinity all cheap and dead certain things, provided you had faith in a coming metals bull, which like most of us here, i did .... even without much PoG/PoAg improvement, those three were great value, close as you can get to a sure thing .... suf.to was the same, then ... and i came to regard Alamos agi.v in this way, which worked out fine

X-Cal probably belongs in the category, i may not be the one to ask though, pretty attached, the thing just treats me so well for five years now, i add shares it rises, i take profit it sells off and i replace them cheaper ... got quite a few house money shares now, and a full trading position at the moment .... they have their meeting coming up next monday 24 Nov, i'm hoping on a final financing deal done by then

Back to Africa [if we really need that continent for diversity] - how about diamonds and oil trading by Diamondworks dmw.to ..... management lives in RSA, that's their only connection with the country, company is canadian domiciled, canadian listed, reports in usd, doing business in nice stable places like Sierra Leone, Malawi, Zambia ... got diamond mines in Angola even, presumably under the care and charge of some nice guys with AK-47s right now -g- .... but they make money, exceptional trailing p/e, and FY2004 looks on the way to being great for them .... would i lock up shares for two years? - hmm, probably yes, have to think about that ... it's my single biggest position at the moment, i really think their recovery from disaster is being overlooked ... lots of background on its thread here - investorshub.com

xcl.to - jr, i've taken quite a bit of profit in X-Cal, thought i should mention it as i was talking the thing up here in the .70s .... partly it just reached a point i decided on long ago, more though because the little gap-up of last friday makes me mildly nervous, kind of wish it would punch down and fix that up .... long term, love the project, great future

dmw.to - thought Diamondworks would have news out this week, but nope, so next week for sure, probably early .... their earning power is being unreasonably ignored, imho, and won't be for too much longer .... there has been strange action, looks to me like an institution holding shares on offer at 1.40, don't know why but i'm betting against them .... one thing i like here is it's not a gold, person's got to do nominal diversification at least ... anyway i call dmw for much higher, pretty soon ..... cheers
