That's Clark's problem:

Clark takes a shot at the front runner: "Unlike the Dean campaign, this is not a campaign of protest.

I'm suspicious of polls, having seen many "push" polls in prior cycles with completely bogus results.

Clark, the Clintons, Bush and Karl Rove all wish it were otherwise, but this cycle is indeed about those who protest what's going on as being a vast criminal/gov't enterprise, vs those on the gravy train or hope to be.

The remaining middle ground are those who are frightened, merely uneasy, or merely supportive.

The more that gets disclosed about the actions of gov't and gov't officials, the more that middle ground shrinks.
